Prem Ahark heads up our Family Law division of the firm having practiced since qualification in 2000.
She has extensive experience in all aspects of Family Law, particularly relationship breakdown, including prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Prem has specialist knowledge of companies, business interests, inherited assets, pensions and all property and trust matters that can form part of the assets for division upon dissolution of a marriage.
Prem has been involved in a number of high profile cases involving property investment portfolios exceeding £15m, in the High Court and Appeal Courts. Her work includes complex Trusts of Land claims and Children Act cases. Prem was the lead solicitor in the reported case Re A (A Child)  EWCC 4 (Fam) (13 June 2012).
Prem acts for clients from a wide variety of backgrounds to include directors of companies both in the UK and internationally, professionals, premiership footballers, celebrities and TV personalities.
Prem speaks fluent Punjabi and represents clients where English is not their first language.
Prem is an accredited member of The Law Society Advanced Family Law Panel which recognises her as a specialist in the field. She is also an Assessor of the Family Law Accreditation Scheme at the Law Society.

Prem’s recent appointments include:
- School Governor for a Special Needs School.
- Sits as a committee member of the Family Law Advanced Accreditations Review Working Group.
- Sits as a member of the Valuation Tribunal for England.
Away from the office, Prem enjoys travelling, fine dining and keeping her young children amused!
